Created in July 2014 and endowed with managerial authority GLOBAL BUSINESS SUPPORT (GBS) now brings together nearly 2000 employees across several countries and entities who work in a coordinated manner to provide top-tier business support to ENGIEs Business Units and Corporate functions. GBS currently comprises 7 Business Support functions: Procurement Consulting Finance Real Estate and Logistics Legal Human Resources Information Systems.

ENGIE GBS is recruiting a:

GBS HR Service Line Director for France (M/F)

Position based in Courbevoie

As GBS HR Service Line Director for France (M/F) you oversee all HR operations across the territory ensuring their performance fluidity and alignment with the objectives of GBS and local entities. You are responsible for the quality of services delivered (Personnel Administration Payroll HRIS Regulatory HR Data & Training Administration) for more than 27000 employees while ensuring compliance with service levels (SLA) and performance indicators (KPI).

Leading a team of over 200 employees based in Paris Lyon and Nantes (excluding service providers) you manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and carry a strong ambition for transformation. You embody the deployment of the Target Operating Model leading key projects around process simplification service digitalization and delivery model optimization.

You play an active role in regional and global governance bodies and are the guarantor of embedding the GBS culture and sense of belonging within the French scope. Finally you ensure the operational and financial performance of GBS HR activities in France with an annual OPEX budget exceeding 30M under dual reporting: to the Global Director of GBS HR Service Line and the CHRO France.

Main Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Relations: Act as the main HR contact for the CHRO France and their teams developing strong relationships to align HR services with business needs.

Operational Management: Ensure excellence in HR services meet SLA and KPI targets and implement continuous improvements for:

  • HR Service Desk

  • HR Data Management

  • Payroll

  • Training Administration (for a scope of 27000 employees

Transformation Leadership: Lead the implementation of transformation initiatives within the French GBS scope including:

  • Target Operating Model

  • HR Service Desk

  • HR Data Management

  • Payroll

  • Training Administration Ensure operational implementation and change management

GBS Culture and Sense of Belonging: Promote and embed the GBS culture and sense of belonging within the French scope in line with the organizations cultural values and objectives.

Optimization: Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and the local CHRO to optimize HR processes and systems.

Team Management: Supervise GBS Activity Managers develop and support your team (over 200 employees) to ensure high-quality HR operations. Ensure skill development and training of teams.

Budget Management: Manage the profit and loss account of GBS HR services in your country/region and ensure financial performance and cost optimization (annual OPEX budget over 30M).

Reporting: Report to the GBS HR Service Line Director while maintaining a functional link with the regional CHRO France

Key Interfaces:

  • Global Head of GBS HR Services

  • Regional CHRO and HR teams

  • Regional and global GBS HR teams

  • GBS expert teams (HR Finance Procurement etc.)

  • Business and functional stakeholders in France and at Group leve

Profile Sought:

  • Degree in HR management or related field (Masters preferred)

  • Proven experience in HR leadership ideally in a shared services and multisite environment

  • Strong expertise in leading HR transformation projects with the ability to align HR services with business challenges

  • Demonstrated skills in change management communication and team support embodying the groups values (EWOL EWOW)

  • Ability to work in agile mode manage via KPIs and drive continuous improvement

  • Financial skills to manage a budget and optimize performance

  • Excellent command of French and English both written and spoken

  • HR certifications (SHRM-SCP CIPD) appreciated

  • Proficiency in HR tools and shared service platforms (e.g. Workday SAP).
