The Department of History at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month full-time and tenure-earning Assistant Professor position in Early Modern European History with a start date of August 7 2026. Salary is negotiable.
The successful applicant will teach two courses a semester including a general education survey upper-level courses in early modern history and seminars at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in History is required and must be conferred by the start date. We welcome applicants whose research explores themes of transregional exchange global circulation communications networks migration or diaspora. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred candidates will show evidence of university-level teaching experience and scholarly publications.
