In this role youll:
Working within our Engineering & Maintenance Team at Sydney Trains the primary purpose of our Project Controls Manager role is to work with Program/Project/Contract Managers to provide an assurance function for the management of processes and systems for project controls and reporting.
This includes cost estimation scheduling risk and quality assurance systems required for the efficient and effective management of the divisions program of work.
About you
You will take responsibility to drive the Project Controls in Major Works Division including the provision of project controls assurance and management for Major Works programs.
You will ensure the implementation of a project controls framework for delivery at project program and portfolio level extending to external works and contract management.
You will coordinate and monitor of uniform practices for compliance with applicable standards accurate and consistency.
You will implement and undertake assurance for compliance to a consistent framework for measurement of progress at project program and portfolio levels and supported by relevant processes and tools.
You will ensure senior delivery managers adopt an appropriate framework to manage the definition monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics (including cost and schedule) for all projects/programs/contracts.
You will take responsibility to drive the consistent adoption by senior delivery managers of effective systems for project change management (cost schedule) ensuring portfolio level visibility of change.
You will also identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities including identification and implementation of new tools systems and processes to improve scheduling estimation cost control performance management and reporting.
