Job Summary

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager within the Amazon Sortation Center (SC) network you will play a critical role in leading strategic planning and optimization initiatives for Amazons North American Sortation Centers (NASC) network encompassing 100 buildings crucial to Amazons next-day and two-day delivery promises.

You will drive NASCs 3YF network planning through strategic oversight of major capacity and automation initiatives partnering with numerous cross-functional teams to transform high-level objectives into actionable capital investment strategies. This role leads comprehensive planning across network-wide capacity build plans multi-site engineering initiatives strategic automation expansions and asset portfolio management.

You will manage the development of comprehensive network strategy by synthesizing critical inputs including build plan requirements automation needs and standardization goals. The position requires close partnership with Design Engineering Operations Finance and other stakeholders to ensure downstream partners have the infrastructure engineering templates and capacity needed to meet evolving business demands while optimizing operational costs.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead development and optimization of comprehensive 3YF build plans aligned with organizational growth objectives
- Drive end-to-end planning to ensure network readiness for peak prime and future growth
- Establish network performance metrics and KPIs to enable data-driven decision making
- Develop long-term network strategy incorporating automation retrofits and standardization initiatives
- Direct site selection and deployment strategies for new launches and retrofits
- Manage cross-functional implementation of major network initiatives
- Lead standardization efforts to optimize operational costs and efficiency
- Develop and execute contingency plans
- Guide strategic CapEx investments through comprehensive CAR funding process
- Create detailed business cases with ROI justification for major initiatives
- Drive cost optimization through network efficiency improvements
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance network performance
- Coordinate with 20 teams including Engineering Operations and Finance
- Drive alignment across multiple workstreams and organizational priorities
- Lead strategic planning cycles and stakeholder reviews
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across the organization

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
