The candidate will be joining the Advanced Visualization & Proposal Services (AVPS) team as a Principal Specialist responsible for maintaining supporting and integrating cloud-based services and solutions that enable advanced visualization capabilities. This role will involve ensuring the cybersecurity compliance and integrity of Advanced Visualization cloud environments by implementing robust security measures and adhering to industry standards and organizational policies. The candidate will also be responsible for architecting scalable and efficient solutions that address complex business challenges while leveraging the latest innovative cloud technologies to enable our advanced visualization frameworks. Additionally the role requires proactive identification and resolution of technical issues fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure high-performing systems. This position requires onsite work and collaboration to deliver high-impact solutions that align with organization goals. The position is onsite. The successful candidate will be required to report daily to the Immersive Design Center at the Raytheon facility in Andover MA.

What you Will Do:

• Deliver technical expertise and lead the design implementation and administration of cloud services that enable and enhance advanced visualization capabilities.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance by implementing robust security controls and performing comprehensive security assessments.
• Assist with the development and integration of proof-of-concept advanced visualization technologies and applications.
• Continuously expand knowledge and keep the team current with the latest advancements in cloud technologies architectural patterns and best practices.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Role typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure. Deploying managing and troubleshooting services in a cloud environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelors degree major in Information Technology Information Systems Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong problem solving and ownership mindset you see something that needs to get done and make it happen.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and willingness to stay current with emerging cloud technologies.
• Able to report daily to the facility in Andover MA.
• Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) or Authority to Operate (ATO) processes within federal or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience contributing to ATO packages or compliance readiness efforts.
• AWS/Azure or similar foundational certifications.
• Experience building deploying and managing containerized applications across cloud environments.
• Experience with full-stack application development and web application frameworks.
• Familiar with real-time communication protocols such as WebRTC.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
