The Certification Engineer is responsible for managing the approval of components systems and vehicles. They ensure the regulatory and technical compliance of products across various markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the certification and approval of components systems and off-road vehicle lines;
- Create and maintain online homologation matrices according to the defined schedule;
- Perform and analyze tests on components assemblies and vehicles;
- Write reports and interpret technical documentation and standards using CAD visualization tools and Bills of Materials (BOM);
- Manage multiple multidisciplinary projects simultaneously.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Product knowledge and familiarity with the certification environment (powersports automotive or aerospace);
- Knowledge of standards and regulations: PMBOK Six Sigma ISO 9001 / IATF UNECE / CE;
- Experience with internal combustion engines (ICE) exhaust emissions or vehicle safety systems (an asset);
- Strong understanding of systems related to certification: pollutant emissions noise vibrations projections lighting installation stability braking;
- Experience in product certification or in a regulated environment (as applicant or inspector an asset);
- Experience with product testing (internal with third parties or with notified bodies);
- Strong organizational skills autonomy and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Team-oriented mindset.
