Commencing in January 2026 this 12-month fixed term position offers the opportunity to play a key role in one of Melbournes most prestigious luxury hotels. As Conference & Events Sales Manager youll bring our hotels signature sophistication to life by curating seamless memorable events for our guests and clients. Youll oversee the entire sales and coordination process from the first enquiry to the final farewell ensuring every detail reflects our commitment to luxury and excellence.
In this role you will:
Respond to event and meeting enquiries and consult with clients to design bespoke proposals tailored to their needs
Drive sales conversion and proactively pursue new business leads ensuring revenue and performance targets are achieved
Manage forecasting reporting and sales strategy to maximise conversion opportunities
Oversee the end-to-end coordination of events including event orders invoicing and communication across hotel departments
Partner with operational teams to deliver seamless high-quality event experiences that exceed client expectations
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across processes and guest experience
Support and guide the Conference & Events Sales team to deliver outstanding results and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications :
Previous experience in event sales or management ideally within a luxury hotel or events venue
Minimum two years experience in a similar role with a proven track record of converting leads and managing client relationships
Strong organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera or Delphi systems is advantageous
A proactive solution-focused mindset and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
A genuine passion for creating experiences that guests and clients will remember
