Job Description:
The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications blueprints schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures work on facilities and production equipment as well as perform general maintenance.
Essential Functions:
40%- Electrical Maintenance - Work with troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
50% - Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels transformers generators etc.).
10%- 6S general shop upkeep cleaning or organizing.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Virginia Journeyman electrician license strongly preferred. Training from a trade school is a plus.
- Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting.
- Proficient computer skills (such as MS Outlook Word and Excel) desired.
- Very safety and environmentally conscious.
