2026 Medical Device Software Engineer Intern

During a summer in PDS&T an intern would own a focused technical project to gain software development skills helping design and implement a change to one of our products. The intern would be placed in the Allergan Aesthetics Body Contouring group.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with activities associated with the development and implementation of changes to commercial body contouring medical device products
• Helping to consolidate design and recommend solutions
• Supporting development of engineering and unit tests
• Learning standards and tools for software development engineers

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in university pursuing a bachelors in computer science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering other related field of study
• Must be returning to university the semester following internship
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 June 2027

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Excel or other database experience is a plus
• Exposure to coding data mining and analysis
• Familiar with Visual Studio and Git
• Cross functional collaboration skill
• Public presentation skills
