Job Summary

Join a dynamicneuroscience/neurosurgeryteam at a leadingacademic medical centerwith no nights no call and no OR requirement! This role offers the opportunity to workcollaboratively with neurosurgeons residents and APPsin an acute care hospital setting providing inpatient care for adult patients with a variety of neurosurgical conditions including spinal disease tumors hydrocephalus cerebrovascular disease neurotrauma and stereotactic/functional neurosurgery.

Key responsibilities include inpatient care patient education consulting with specialists interdisciplinary collaboration and precepting PA and NP students. Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and manageneurosurgical patientsin an acute care setting.
  2. Applyevidence-based medicineto optimize patient outcomes.
  3. Lead training and development initiatives for the inter-professional team.
  4. Ensure quality safety and cost-effective healthcare delivery.
  5. Translatenew knowledge and best practicesinto clinical care.
  6. Provide patient and family education considering developmental needs.
  7. Maintain compliance withregulations licensure and certificationrequirements.
  8. Advocate for patient-centered care across the healthcare continuum.
  9. Integrateethical principlesinto decision-making and practice.

Qualifications:

  • PA-C:Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program withcurrent Maryland PA licensure CDS and DEA certification
  • ACNP:Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program withcurrent Maryland NP licensure CDS and DEA certification
  • Certifications Required:BLS & ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
  • Provider Enrollment Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollmentfor Medicare ordering purposes
  • Must befully credentialed by The Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Boardbefore starting

Salary Range: Minimum 53.15/hour - Maximum 82.38/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
