Nocturnist

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Nocturnist Physician to join a well-established and respected hospital medicine team in Midwest City Oklahoma. This is a fully inpatient position with no outpatient clinic duties ideal for a physician who enjoys providing comprehensive nighttime hospital care in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

The schedule follows a 7-on / 7-off rotation offering a balanced workload and 26 weeks off per year.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of hospitalized patients during overnight shifts.

• Admit patients from the emergency department and other facilities as needed.

• Provide cross-coverage and acute management of inpatients.

• Communicate effectively with nursing staff consultants and day teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Document all encounters and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma medical license.

• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (preferred).
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex inpatient cases independently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
