Compensation: $134000 to $142800 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate is confident in managing acute and complex medical cases thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through collaboration and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including medical histories physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Order interpret and follow up on diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and coordinate patient care.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions treatment options and preventive health strategies.

Leadership & Professional Practice

  • Mentor and support junior clinical staff and medical students when applicable.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the hospitals electronic medical record system.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical regulatory and hospital standards.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay up to date with current research medical techniques and best practices in acute care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care Specialty) or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current unrestricted Oklahoma APRN or PA license.

  • National certification from an accredited board (ANCC AANP or NCCPA).
  • Preferred: 2 to 3 years of clinical experience in acute care or hospital medicine.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and hospital-based care documentation.

  • Strong clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift or move patients and stand for extended periods.

  • Comfort working in high-pressure and fast-paced clinical environments.
