An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabularys Resourcing & Development Team within Our People & Development Services Directorate.
Being a part of our recently created HR delivery model this new team creates a space for an innovative and multi-discipline approach to Talent Management Leadership Development and delivery of Police Officer promotion alongside the broader areas of organisational people performance and career development.
The team and role have responsibilities in multiple areas and draw from the skill sets and backgrounds of learning & development recruitment generalist HR and change management.
The role holder will have responsibilities co-ordinating and delivering learning in key areas of our Talent Management and Leadership development programmes. This will involve collaborating with external providers and designing and delivering learning with large groups on a regular basis as well as engaging in one to one career coaching conversations.
The Constabulary has recently undertaken a large scale change to our force promotion process for junior ranks with the aim to increase accessibility and move towards the development of a diverse leadership pipeline. As Senior HR Advisor the role holder will have responsibility within the team to oversee progression through this pipeline and co-deliver learning and assessments working closely with the Head of Leadership & Talent Delivery.
Good candidates should have a proven experience and ability of learning content design and delivery to meet a broader Leadership and Talent Strategy as well as being committed to Diversity Equality and Inclusion and with a track record of removing barriers by taking an Inclusive by Design approach to people challenges.
This is a unique opportunity to build experience and diversify skills and knowledge within this broad People Development remit shaping the careers and abilities of our officers and staff to best serve the public.
The role is based at our Strategic Headquarters in Eastleigh but is delivered via agile working with an expectation of 1-2 days a week on site or at other police premises though the majority of time will be remote working.
