Assignment and Term:

• This position is a temporary part-time position of 3.25 hours/day in accordance with the Educational Assistant school calendar. The position involves working with 3 and 4 year old students every other day throughout the school year.
• The position commences November 17 2025 and expires June 26 2026 with the work schedule to be determined later on. This is determined by the principal and student services. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

The duties of an Educational Assistant are to:

• Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals.
• Provide assistance to students with mobilityneeds and/or who requirepersonal care.
• Assist the classroom teacher to support learning withall students in the classroom.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child classroom and the school.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 Diplomaor equivalent.
• Acute attention to detail adaptability flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will beconsidered assets.
• Knowledge of and experience with indigenous ways of knowing living and being are a strong asset.
  

Salary and Benefits:

• The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $20.39 - $25.04 plus applicable vacation pay.
• Benefits include participation in the Municipal Employees Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
