Job Summary

Best Line Equipment is seeking a full-time Branch Manager for our Mechanicsburg PA location. The Branch Manager provides leadership for all branch operations working in close alignment with Sales Management Regional Management and the Corporate Ops Support team. This position ensures that the service parts and rental departments meet performance objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Branch Manager will implement strategies to improve overall branch profitability and support corporate goals through continuous collaboration with regional managers and the corporate operations support team.

Responsibilities:

Financial Performance and Operations

  • Lead all branch operations in coordination with Sales Regional Management Corporate Ops Support and Leadership teams.
  • Evaluate and increase branch profitability across Rental Parts Sales and Service department while maintaining company standards for productivity turns and safety.
  • Analyze and maintain accurate financial records for service parts and rental departments presenting recommendations to upper management to optimize branch performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sales service parts and rental support that align with the companys financial objectives.
  • Create and oversee staff schedules while ensuring time and attendance compliance.

Culture and Leadership

  • Foster a management by walking around culture across all branch departments to ensure strong team engagement and operational oversight.
  • Conduct regular branch management meetings to align departmental location and corporate goals. Daily meetings are held to review tactical implementation of daily job duties in each dept.
  • Host monthly all-staff meetings to inform motivate and direct location employees ensuring that all team members are aligned with operational objectives.
  • Lead the hiring training and supervision of branch staff focusing on developing a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

  • Ensure each dept. provides excellent customer service by fostering a customer-first approach and addressing any service or operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain regular communication with BLEs designated OEM specialist and/or OEM representative for issues with parts service rental or sales representatives. Prioritize key areas of focus as designated by OEM and implement recommendations in collaboration with the Corporate Ops Support and Regional Management teams.
  • Lead the branch in maintaining OEM dealer scorecard obligations to maximize dealer scores incentives and employee engagement.
  • Maintain OEM dealer obligations by collaborating with the OEM Support Manager and Corporate Ops Support to meet performance goals.

Safety and Compliance

  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment and culture adhering to all relevant safety standards.
  • Understand and implement MSHA OSHA and DOT regulations for Best Line employees at worksites and locations ensuring compliance and proper record-keeping.
  • Ensure state inspection regulations are followed and that branch technicians and professional drivers comply with all necessary requirements.
  • Work with the rental and service manager to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and recordkeeping for professional drivers.

Facilities and Grounds Management

  • Oversee the locations facilities grounds cleanliness and maintenance. Make recommendations for facility improvements as needed.
  • Lead the management of facility upkeep to ensure a professional and safe environment for both staff and customers.

Corporate Support Integration

  • The Branch Manager will collaborate closely with the Corporate Ops Support team to integrate corporate support functions and maintain alignment with company-wide goals. This includes but is not limited to: Training and Development SAMS Implementation Cycle Count Management Warranty Management and Inventory Control.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in equipment rental or dealership operations.
  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction equipment heavy and passenger trucks dealership facilities maintenance and repair functions.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain a non-CDL DOT medical card.

  • Strong leadership motivational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Excellent problem-solving conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dealership management software.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work rotating Saturdays.
