About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (PM) to lead multiple IT and professional service projects for federal clients. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with proven leadership skills in the federal contracting environment. You will oversee cross-functional project teams coordinate with third-party vendors and serve as a trusted liaison between clients and delivery teams-ensuring all projects are delivered on time within scope and in compliance with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Manage multiple IT and professional service projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery within scope schedule and budget.

Vendor Engagement & Oversight

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely high-quality delivery of products and services.
  • Define and monitor vendor performance metrics and deliverables in accordance with contract terms.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with all project deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings issue resolution and escalation management between vendors clients and internal stakeholders.

Project Planning

  • Develop detailed project plans risk assessments communication plans and resource allocations.

Execution & Delivery

  • Coordinate project teams vendors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal IT policies and cybersecurity standards (e.g. FISMA FedRAMP).

Performance Tracking

  • Monitor project progress using standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project Jira or Smartsheet).
  • Report key metrics milestones and risks to executive leadership and clients.

Budget & Contract Oversight

  • Track project financials and support proposal development ensuring alignment with contract terms and funding limitations.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all deliverables meet contractual requirements security standards and agency expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience managing IT or professional service projects within a federal contracting environment.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP CSM or SAFe certification.
  • Experience supporting federal civilian organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing subcontractors and third-party vendors under complex multi-stakeholder contracts.
