Shift: Full Time (40 hours) Rotating Shifts Weekend Work Required Position Summary: The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center provides health care services to pediatric patients in a combined pediatric emergency/trauma-acute care unit and the Newborn Nursery under the direction and responsibility of a physician. The APP will need to be adaptable and workcollaboratively with the physician to provide comprehensivecare to a pediatric patient population that may have complexpsycho-social needs non-English speaking and/or lowincomepatients/families requiring extra support andeducation. The Peds ED / Inpatient Unit has 5 ED rooms atrauma room and 9 inpatient rooms. Conducts physical exams diagnoses and treats illnesses orders and interprets tests counsels on preventative care assists in trauma and critical care and writes prescriptions as needed. Completion of Masters or Doctorate PNP or PA program certification and state licensure required. Education/Work Experience: Work requires the knowledge of theories principles and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Masters or Doctorate in Nursing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care or Bachelors (Masters degree preferred) degree in a Physician Assistant Program. Shift: 6 a.m. 12 a.m. No overnights. Including weekends and rotating holidays. Licensure/Certifications Maryland CRNP Pediatric Acute Care or PA license. Maryland CDS permit. DEA license. ACLS AHA CPR card Experience:Six months of experience is required. Two (2) years experience is strongly preferred. |
Salary Range: Minimum 55.81/hour - Maximum 86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
