Job Summary

Job Title:Engineer I - Sr. Lead (Nuclear)

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

**This position can be filled as an Engineer I II III Sr or Sr. Lead based on experience.**

Job Summary/Purpose

Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and other stationdepartments. Maintains configuration control for the plant.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supports Maintenance and Operations in resolution of plant issues which stem from significant events or complex plant problems
  • Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties.
  • Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost effective maintenance strategies. Issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues.
  • Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle.
  • Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes. Supports changes in system configuration/design and design basis.
  • Develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures. Participates in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages.
  • Serves on outage engineering support teams. Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree generally associated with power plant operations in the field of civil and structural design or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Engineer I: 0 2 years experience in nuclear power design operations or equivalent depending upon engineering level
  • Engineer II: 2 3years experience in nuclear power design operations or equivalent depending upon engineering level
  • Engineer III: 3 4years experience in nuclear power design operations or equivalent depending upon engineering level
  • Sr. Engineer - 4 - 5 years experience in nuclear design operations or equivalent depending upon engineering level
  • Sr. Lead - 6 years experience in nuclear design operations or equivalent depending upon engineering level and evaluation of past positions

Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position

Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and Operations and Maintenance departments.

Any certificates licenses etc. required of the position

Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering license.
