An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Solution Lead to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. As a IT Solution Lead for a subset of the RR Submarines IT portfolio youll support the IT Project Management and IT Service Management community through leading the research & documentation of concept solutions.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. What youll be doing:

You will develop concept solutions as input to the definition of project scope and plans; maintain architecture and design records for reference by the organisation to ensure Submarines IT capabilities remain compliant with Architectural Policies and Security posture and vendor support requirements.

• Contribute to the development of IT Architecture and solutions across the Submarines Enterprise.

• Support the Business Partners in determining Business and IT Service priorities and developing solutions as input to IT investment strategy.

• Support the Project Managers by interpreting project requirements validating solution options and managing technical risk as input to the development and execution of the project delivery plan.

• Support the Security Management function by encompassing cybersecurity in solution development identifying technical risk and preparing consistent architectural input to the Information Assurance process.

• Support the Service Transition function by encompassing Service Requirements in solution development identifying risk and preparing consistent architectural input to the Service Assurance process

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline with chartered status preferred

• Demonstrates technical leadership in complex technical and/or professional work activities including the analysis of designs delivery options and plans

• Has good business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s)

• Advises on the available standards methods tools and applications relevant to own specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you dont currently already have this in place.
