Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Case Management Specialist to join our dynamic Talent Programs team.
TheTalent Programs team is is responsible for disability management at Canadian Blood Services. Our goal is to support all employees to prevent absences or enable the timely return of employees to pre-absence employment in a safe suitable and collaborative manner.
In this role you will be engaged in the continuous improvement of processes and systems that enable effective disability management at Canadian Blood Services (CBS) under the direction of the Manager. You will act as an advisor and coordinator to Management People Culture and Performance and individual Employees in Sites Departments Regions Program areas and external clients on employee health disability and medical accommodation and promoting the Employee and Family Assistance Program. This will include a mixture of occupational and non-occupational files.
A designation as an Occupational Health Nurse (RN or RPN) Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist/Ergonomist will be considered an asset.
Technical skills with programs such as Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and disability management software.
Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
Having a valid certificate in First Aid Mental Health First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.
