Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant coordinates and performs various administrative activities for the department/unit including filing scheduling financial record keeping payroll and coordinating meetings and conferences. The role involves handling correspondence assembling confidential information coordinating functions to ensure smooth operations and providing training and orientation for new staff.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and performs department/unit administrative activities.
- Manages filing scheduling and financial record keeping.
- Coordinates meetings conferences and direct mailings.
- Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles confidential information.
- Coordinates functions to ensure smooth operations.
- Plans and executes projects within scope of responsibility.
- Provides training and orientation for new staff.
- Troubleshoots office technologies.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint Access).
- Ability to speak read write and understand English effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking judgment and problem-solving skills.
- CA Drivers License (for POM employees only).
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Three (3) years of administrative experience.
- Associate degree.
- Typing at 50 words per minute.
Special Considerations:
- Onsite position.
- 10-week assignment with possibility to extend.
Scheduling:
- Shift: 8am-4pm.
