Job Summary
DNV Maritime Region Americas is seeking a Summer Intern to join our highly competent Team in Katy Texas to support both local and international projects (Class as well as verification projects). This internship is projected to start inSummer of 2026.
What Youll Do
- Learn and apply DNV methods to improve business performance focusing on either:
- Classification of Floating Offshore Units & Ships Review and approve design construction and operation of mobile offshore units and ships of various types
- Certification of Equipment and Materials for the Offshore Industry Review and approve design construction testing and commissioning of equipment and skids for offshore oil & gas applications
- DNV uses aapproach to education so you will learn from experiences lectures and being mentored by experts in the industry.
- Learn how to be a competent and confident professional
- Be part of diverse international projects both internal and external
- Have direct impact on the bottom line by adding value to our clients
- Have the opportunity to engage in service and business development
- Be part of a culturally diverse and highly experienced global network
- Have the opportunity to work on domestic and international projects
- Visit customer locations and learn from our surveyors in the field

- Junior/Seniors pursuing Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture with strong analytical and mathematical skills
- A passion for the companys objective to safeguard life property and the environment
- Strong technical skills and interest in industry
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Coding experience (JAVA Python) preferred but not required
- Must have a reliable and secure internet connection and good telecommunication skills
