The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supply Chain Management Analyst (Level 3) to join our dynamic team in New Orleans LA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Incorporates change and planning decisions to arrive at optimal solutions
- Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
- Analyzes complex material requirements
- Verifies and incorporates Bills of Material/schedules into a production plan.
- Determines part number attributes
- Initiates coordinates and authorizes release of orders by evaluating system requirements and resource availability
- Ensures on-time delivery
- Documents and resolves order delinquencies
- Reports schedule adherence issues
- Develops and controls inventory plans
- Optimizes inventory levels
- Analyzes and dispositions excess inventories
- Initiates audits
- Develops and creates schedules for products and services
- Assists in developing estimates and schedules for new business proposals
- Implements and maintains process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for materials management to improve SCM performance
- Works under general direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience in supply chain or materials management.
- More than 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing warehouse shipping or customer service environment.
- More than 3 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and PowerPoint).
- More than 3 years of experience in Production Control and Material Management processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher
- More than 3 years of experience working with spacecraft/aircraft factory manufacturing quality and inventory/production control processes and tools (planning MRP BOMs and Indirect Procurement etc.)
- More than 3 years of experience with Material Requirements Planning including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system.
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 6 or more years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degrees (e.g. Bachelor Master etc.) preferred but not required.

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
