Job Summary
Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist
Location: Hyannis MA
Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 8x5 Day/Evening/Night
Pay Rate: $3601 Weekly Gross
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to assist physicians in performing invasive cardiac procedures. The technologist will ensure patient safety provide support during procedures and maintain technical equipment in a high-acuity cardiac care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including scrubbing circulating monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters.
Operate interventional and ancillary equipment as appropriate.
Provide care and support to patients addressing physical and psychological needs to ensure comfort and safety.
Educate patients about procedures and answer questions to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation.
Transfer patients safely to and from medical equipment wheelchairs and stretchers.
Prepare and maintain sterile procedure trays; clean and dispose of materials post-procedure.
Maintain departmental inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
Participate in professional development activities to maintain knowledge of cardiac technology advancements.
Assist physicians with administration of contrast media and other procedural needs.
Perform preventive maintenance on interventional equipment.
For Electrophysiology (EP) procedures: maintain and update EP program and stay current with industry developments.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Tech in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
Alternatively five years of recent experience in Cardiovascular EP or two years post-technical school radiology experience with six months of specialized procedural training.
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification Cardiac Interventional (CI) certification Vascular Interventional (VI) certification or equivalent experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology.
