JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina invites applications forthe position of Battalion TAC Officerin theCommandants Department. The candidate willbe responsiblefor but not limited to: leading managing and supervising several Company TAC Officers and a Battalion TAC NCO in accomplishing the mission of teaching advising and coaching cadets to develop the attributes of principled leaders of virtue and character with emphasis on the Citadels Core Values: moral/ethical academic physicalmilitary and a strong sense of duty and responsibility; Creates a positive command climate that supports intellectual development and fosters leader development; contributes to assimilation of a broad basic military education; promotes high standards of physical fitness by integrating the tenets of The Citadels physical effectiveness program; and inspires each cadet to continuing professional growth in preparation for a career and a lifetime of service to the community and the Nation.
The candidate will also be responsible for the following: maintaining a positive command climate that encourages both the personal and professional development of all cadets assigned to the battalion; ability to integrate and coordinate programs that enhance the leader development process for cadets; serves on boards and committees as directed; maintain the good order and discipline of the battalion in accordance with college policies and regulations; manage lead and implement the Citadels Principled Leader Development Model. Additionally in the context of the traditional military concept of perform other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Masters Degree served successfully in the grade of O-5 or achieved TAC Ladder Level 3 present a high level of military appearanceand one must possess and maintain a level of physical conditioning that would allow participation with cadets during physical training.
