This role provides hands-on technical support for test operations while assisting with capital expenditure requests and coordinating supplier improvement projects. The position requires mechanical fabrication skills including operating specialized equipment like laser cutters forklifts and precision tools for handling regolith and various systems. Additionally the individual must identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Provide hands-on support for test setup and execution to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Assist in the preparation of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) requests by gathering a detailed understanding of technical requirements and soliciting competitive quotes from vendors.
• Play a key role in coordinating and collaborating with suppliers on improvement projects driving schedules and ensuring that all project milestones are achieved
• Support various project needs including layout planning for assemblies and regular maintenance of equipment.
• Contribute to mechanical manufacturing efforts including operating the laser cutter and the mill to fabricate mechanical assemblies.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts cranes etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches micrometers etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Experience mixing regolith to support hardware testing.
• Experience working with electrical and pneumatic systems
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency enhancing overall productivity.
• Maintain clean work environments and support 5S FOD and ESD standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant Operations support experience 5 years
• Proficiency in using mechanical tools and precision measuring devices
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in an AS9100 environment.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area (5S FOD and ESD standards)
• Ability to support scheduled work shift extended hours and weekends if/when vital

• Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
