Description
Were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanic Parts and Inventory Coordinator to manage maintenance parts tools and inventory operations within a busy production environment. This role ensures all maintenance activities are properly supported with accurate available parts maintaining a well-organized efficient and cost-effective inventory system.
Although primarily office-based this position operates closely alongside the shop floor providing direct support to maintenance teams and equipment operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in purchasing inventory management or maintenance coordination.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
Strong ownership accountability and problem-solving mindset.
Collaborative hands-on approach with comfort in a fast-paced production setting.
Responsibilities
Manage and organize all maintenance parts and inventory ensuring stock accuracy and proper documentation.
Perform routine cycle counts (daily weekly monthly and annual) and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and issue purchase orders for required parts tools and maintenance supplies.
Track purchase orders deliveries and lead times while maintaining clear communication with maintenance and purchasing teams.
Maintain control over the parts check-in/check-out process ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
Collaborate with procurement teams to align purchasing practices and cost management strategies.
Support maintenance planning by confirming required parts and tools for each work order.
Analyze usage and procurement data to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
Optimize inventory organization storage and accessibility for improved efficiency.
Communicate parts usage shortages and purchasing updates to leadership.
Track and report performance metrics related to inventory accuracy efficiency and maintenance readiness.
