Job Summary

Job Title: Travel RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Denton TX

Duration: 8 weeks (extendable)

Shift: 12-hour night shifts 3 nights per week

Pay Rate: $2160 weekly gross

Job Overview:

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a short-term travel assignment. The RN will provide patient-centered care for high-risk antepartum and laboring patients collaborating with the healthcare team and adhering to unit protocols. This position requires occasional floating to mother/baby units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring and antepartum patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal status including vital signs fetal heart rates and contractions.
Assist with labor delivery and postpartum care in collaboration with physicians and hospitalists.
Document patient care using EPIC and CPN systems.
Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:2) and adhere to hospital policies.
Participate in required weekend shifts (6 weekends per 6-week schedule).
Ensure professional appearance and compliance with uniform and grooming standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery with high-risk antepartum population.
Certifications required:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring AWHONN Advanced
Ability to float to Mother/Baby units as needed.
Comfortable working with a patient load of up to 6 total cases per day.
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
