Job Summary

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer shall have the responsibility for assisting with the administering the business and financial affairs of the school system to provide the best educational and operational services with the fiscal resources available.PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: and/or reports to the Chief Financial Officer as appropriate on all matters relating to the business affairs of the School to prepare initial School Department budget and subsequent reports as necessary. expenses and funding sources on a daily basis and prepares financial projections for the Superintendent and the School Committee as directed by the the analysis of the budget. the CFO with operating procedures and controls for all financial and administrative matters throughout the school district including cash management and collection the CFO on financial implications of all contracts and contract the Accounting the CFO with reconciliation of system-wide accounts with Principals Directors and others responsible for expenditure control to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial monitoring of all student activity accounts to ensure revenue collection and expenditure controls are in compliance with acceptable accounting practices as well as local policies procedures and liability claims for the CFO as as required in grievance with preparation of all State and Federal financial reports to ensure that the School District receives all reimbursable direction supervision and annual written performance evaluations of Office personnel management system for support staff in conjunction with the HR Director and CFO and recommends training programs to provide the staff development needs of the School routine expenditures for goods services and salaries as directed by the School Committee and other meetings as other tasks and duties as required by the CFO and the for fiscal grant management with a familiarity to UCOA process including account annual financial duties as assigned by the CFO.PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES: be skilled in the use of computers and a working knowledge of computerized accounting/purchasing/personnel systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel Word) leadership communication to relate to colleagues and the general public.5.A person of professional and personal possess a strong work ethic.REQUIRED EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Accounting. to think conceptually and articulate ideas and recommendations in written communications and reports and oral presentations to diverse ability in a leadership role requiring evaluation supervision and management of fiscal with Federal and State reporting data surveys auditing of statewide uniform charts of accounts (UCOA). Technologies (MUNIS Financial System) is Government experience is preferred.
