THE ROLE

Pure Storage is a high-growth enterprise data-storage company seeking a global leader to build scale and continuously improve our Physical Security Safety and EHS programs. This role ensures the protection of our people assets and information across our global portfoliobalancing exceptional customer service with robust risk mitigation. You will drive strategic planning program execution and operational excellence across HQ offices labs and data center environments.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Define and execute the global strategy and roadmap for Physical Security and EHS aligned with corporate priorities growth and culture.

  • Build and lead a high-performing global team spanning regional security and EHS leads Support Center Analyst and Operators and vendor partners.

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics tied to service quality compliance and employee experience; report progress to executives and the Board.

  • Develop career paths organizational design and succession planning for regional functions.
  • Design operate and optimize a global physical security program including enterprise access control video surveillance visitor management and incident response.

  • Conduct global threat and risk assessments; govern physical security standards and site readiness for all offices and R&D/data center sites.

  • Lead incident response investigations and crisis management coordination with Legal HR and Privacy.

  • Ensure proactive planning for executive protection events and critical infrastructure resilience.

  • Drive integration with InfoSec and IT to align physical and digital security controls (SOC2 ISO27001 NIST).
  • Oversee EHS programs supporting non-manufacturing environments (offices labs data centers) ensuring compliance with OSHA/Cal-OSHA and international equivalents.

  • Implement and maintain training audits and emergency preparedness programs.

  • Partner with Facilities and Sustainability on ISO 45001/14001 frameworks safety budgeting and environmental initiatives that meet local legal requirements.

  • Manage global health wellness and ergonomics programs that promote a safe and healthy workplace .
  • Standardize processes playbooks and readiness checklists across all regions.

  • Lead the global security officer strategy vendor management and quality assurance.

  • Oversee support center operations and global monitoring to ensure effective response to incidents and travel-related risks.

  • Ensure timely delivery of physical security system projects within budget and scope.

  • Coordinate emergency drills safety trainings and floor warden programs globally.
  • Collaboration with Real Estate Facilities IT HR Legal and Sustainability.

  • Input from regional stakeholders and global vendor ecosystem.

  • Executive sponsorship for strategic alignment and resource planning.

  • Access to benchmarking data and integration with company risk frameworks.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara CA office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 12 years of experience in corporate security and EHS leadership including 5 years managing global programs in technology environments.

  • Expertise with enterprise PACS/VMS support center operations incident management and security officer guard-force programs.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA ISO and data-center security standards.

  • Proven ability to influence across functions and regions with strong analytical and executive communication skills.

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree and professional certifications (CPP PSP CSP CIH etc.) preferred.

  • Ability to travel 2530% globally.

Salary ranges are determined based on role level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:

$187000 - $299000 USD
