Pay Grade: P
Assists with oversight of Child Welfare Services and administrative operations of a Class 6 County Dept. of Family and Children Services. Manages the administration of policies and programs designed to protect and protect children and families. Ensures mandated services with priority of child safety and service provision to children and families. Directs subordinate managers/supervisors and staff.
Assists County Director with establishment of goals objectives policies and procedures consistent with the missions of the Division Department and Region.
Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
Leads and/or participate in statewide projects and community initiatives as requested.
Provides directions to professional staff in developing their skills delivering quality services and documenting efforts.
Promotes awareness of programs within the community; builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within work units and with other agencies and providers.
Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
Assures agency compliance with policies appropriate documentation and reporting requirements.

Create and maintain positive working relationships within the community.
Develop and administer budget
Facilitate communication within the unit(s)/agency on a specific case level as well as on a procedure/policy level.
Interviews hires directs trains evaluates the performance of and when necessary disciplines and discharges employees.
Lead and administer a comprehensive system of public assistance employability and social services.
Manage human resources and directs administrative activities for groups of social services employees.
Plans administers and maintains the operation of social services programs.
Reviews new and current programs to determine their efficiency effectiveness and compliance with state local and federal regulations
