What You Can Expect Working in the Machine Operator Position

This Machine Operator I will operate one or more of the various production machines. Machines operated may include drills saws press brakes punches shears hi-definition and CNC plasma etc. As a Machine Operator I you may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned. As a Machine Operator you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structures goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.

Responsibilities

• Manages and operates production equipmentwhilemonitoring the performance of the machine and carrying out operations in propersequence.
• Assembles fixtures mounts parts in fixtures/components and performs mechanical assemblyusing hand and air tools (wrenches torque wrenchesimpact wrenches screwdrivers hammers etc.).
• Maintains inventory and routing of partsand maintains production records.
• Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 months of previous machine operations experience with Shears Press-Brakes CNC Plasma Bandsaws etc.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
• Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure squares and other tools specific to the job task.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; reading blueprints; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• The worker is exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as hot and cold climates dusty and noisy areas.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
