Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Tool & Fixture Specialist to join the 787 Tool & Fixture Crane Team located in North Charleston South Carolina on a Variable Shift.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas
  • Performs preventative maintenance plans
  • Performs complex troubleshooting analysis inspection disassembly rebuild and modification of tooling as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment following manuals schematic diagrams blueprints and other specifications as required
  • Responds to and provides guidance related to routine and complex requests for equipment repair
  • Maintains and manages components and replacement part inventories
  • Follows safety procedures and regulations
  • May provide guidance to less experienced employees
  • Works under Minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience with Tooling and/or Advanced manufacturing; Note: Advance Manufacturing includes factory automation 3D printing robotics RFID. Tooling includes assembly design fabrication maintenance/repair
  • 1 years experience working with hand and cutting tools
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel repeatably
  • Ability to lift to 35-40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level with appropriate safety gear

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • 1 years experience with basic computer skills- including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications

Shift

This position is for a Variable Shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.
