Job Summary
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
A Senior Engineering Product Specialists in the Kuiper Customer Terminal Engineering organization will understand customer desires technology and business opportunities to optimize documentation execute change orders and minatin fidelity for a rapidly changing and diverse set of Customer Terminal products. You understand key problems and analyze multiple solutions working cross functionally to create a scalable and durable product structure using AI and ML to be the most efficient in the world. A Senior Engineering Product Specialist provides the global vision rationale and recommendations to leadership teams to ensure Kuiper has the best execution to meet schedules required by our customers.

Amazons vision is to be the worlds most customer-centric company and this role is key to that vision. As a Senior Engineering Program Specialist you will be leading projects to ever-evolving customer needs for the continual development and innovation of Customer Terminals.
As an ideal candidate:
You are able to identify and solve technical problems related to EMS systems through cross functional leadership.
You are responsible for continual improvement of design team standards to minimize execution errors for maximum E and M BOM fidelity and execution of change orders.
Working with a team of engineers business development leaders industrial design customer terminal operations and product integrity you are responsible for worlds high fidelity and speed of execution EMS systems.
You lead projects with widespread impact on CT design innovation and implementation.
You decompose complex problems and distill underlying risks and benefits and identify straightforward and actionable solutions to reduce risk.
You work independently and have frequent reviews with business engineering software operations and others.
You understand which escalations to resolve independently and actively facilitate the escalation of high-impact issues to senior engineering and business leadership.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- 7 years of driving process improvements experience
- Masters degree or Bachelors degree in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
