Summary: Assist with file documentation file creation and data entry of the RSS Education program. Will assess clients eligibility and determine if clients are eligible to participate in the program and for how long. Able to work in a fast pace environment and adapt to change. Provide customer service to individuals needing to learn English and become self- sufficient. Conduct occasional home visits to complete intake lead public transit classes for newly enrolled clients advocate on behalf of clients educational needs and help maintain client case files with thorough documentation & recording.
Position Responsibilities:
*Conducts enrollment and intake. Determines client eligibility and completes program registration process.
*Participates in outreach to invite new clients to English classes via by phone virtually by a home visit or face- to-face. Completes registration that includes a needs assessment explanation of client rights and pre & post testing as needed if trained in BEST Plus.
*Take part in leading and conducting transit classes to teach clients how to eliminate a transportation barrier with learning to ride public transportation safely and properly. Will also teach clients to read a bus schedule & budget for purchasing bus passes.
*Creates and maintains case file documentation in accordance with grant requirements.
*Assists instructors with maintaining up-to-date attendance records and reviewing client files for each class.
*Able to develop and use spreadsheets (Excel) to track client demographics program goals and other relevant data. Able to interpret and report out collected data to use for program reporting to funding sources and administration on a monthly and quarterly basis.
*Able to input and retrieve data from an external online Refugee Database (Charity Tracker & Client Track) required by the agency and funding source. Will help create service and client bar codes to enter data into Charity Tracker.
Utilizes Interpreting & Translation Services on an as needed basis to communicate with LEP clients.
Advocates on behalf of clients to remove barriers to service through persistent follow up on absences communication with client and/or caseworker and collaboration with other Refugee Social Services programs
Maintains current knowledge and information on community resources related to adult education and client well- being and provides referrals for clients.
Assists the agency staff with transporting clients as needed for purposes of enrolling in Education services.
Assists in planning and executing special volunteer projects internships and collaborations with new and existing community partners.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
o Bachelors degree in education social service or business-related field.
OR Experience
o Minimum of one years of experience working in a social service administrative or hospitality environment that demonstrates a sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultural populations is preferred.
o Experience with Microsoft Excel creating spreadsheets formulas and tables and entering data for record keeping and reporting.
