Summary
Responsible for providing therapeutic services to individuals families and groups in an outpatient behavioral health setting. The Outpatient Therapist conducts clinical assessments develops individualized treatment plans and delivers evidence-based interventions to support patients coping with mental health emotional or psychosocial challenges. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery well-being and continuity of care.

Essential Functions
-Provide direct outpatient therapy services to patients using approved clinical methods and therapeutic approaches.
-Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans.
-Deliver individual group and/or family therapy based on clinical needs and patient goals.
-Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
-Collaborate with psychiatrists nurses case managers and other care providers to coordinate treatment and referrals.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
-Participate in clinical team meetings case consultations and care planning activities.
-Educate patients and families about mental health conditions treatment options and coping strategies.
-Comply with all federal state and local laws and regulations regarding patient care and privacy (e.g. HIPAA licensing standards).
Education
Masters Degree Social Work required or Masters Degree Counseling required or Masters Degree Psychology required or Masters Degree Related Field of Study required

Experience
Experience in behavioral health or social work preferably in an outpatient or acute care setting 2-3 years required and Experience with treatment planning risk assessment and crisis intervention 2-3 years required and Prior work with diverse populations and co-occurring mental health or substance use conditions 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment tools diagnostic criteria (DSM-5) and therapeutic interventions.
- Skilled in establishing therapeutic rapport and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication documentation and organizational skills.
- Culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of diverse populations.
