Job Summary
Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist
Location: Ithaca NY
Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts
Pay Rate: $1868 weekly gross
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital operating room setting. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and operating room staff to ensure safe efficient and sterile surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating instrument needs and maintaining a sterile field.
Handle surgical specimens properly and ensure accurate documentation.
Monitor and maintain equipment supplies and sterile techniques throughout each case.
Support the surgical team in both routine and emergency operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience required.
Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Certifications:
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
