Job Summary

Job Purpose:Liaisons support collaborative communication between schools our multilingual parentsstudents and community members to promote student achievement and growth. The job ofMultilingual Parent-Community Liaison/Interpreter provides support to the instructionalprogram with specific responsibilities for providing information on programs/services availableto students and families as well as school and/or district activities and procedures referringfamilies to other agencies and fostering an ongoing partnership between the home and :Acts as an interpreter for students staffteachers and families to conveyinformation in meaningful ways in order tosupport students and to engage families inhome-school partnerships (e.g. applicationsfor services interpreting technicalinformation assisting with registrationetc.).issues available programs/servicescompleting necessary paperwork etc.)Collaborates with teachers parents and/orappropriate school or community agenciesto support students (e.g. state agenciesmedical professionals charitiescounselors)Maintains a variety of confidential and non-confidential records (e.g. activity logsphone logs community resources etc.) forthe purpose of documenting activitiesproviding up-to-date reference and audittrails and/or ensuring the availability other related duties as assignedincluding occasional interpretation at afterschool events for the purpose of meetingstudents needs and ensuring effectivecommunication between families : Work with parents community and schoolorganizations programs businesses and agenciesto meet students needs. Provide families with information about availablecommunity services to assist with needs Serve as a mentor to multilingual students preparing for post-secondary Help schools maintain accurate student contactinformation. Help school support systems communicate anddeliver services. (e.g. phone calls home visitsmeeting with school nurses recorded messages onmultiple school websites and social media) Helping families complete a variety of school-related forms e.g. free and reduced lunch schoolenrollment Travels to student homes to facilitate support forfamilies and connecting to community and schoolservicesWork Environment:The employee will work a full-time workload some evenings and weekends may be building front office is a typical office environment and most work will be conducted in thisworkspace as well around the school time: 240 days Salary: $4500 benefitsSend resume and application to application:
