Strategic Procurement

Direct complex acquisitions negotiate enterprise contracts and develop long-term strategies that optimize costs and drive innovation across DMV operations.

Serve as DMVs SWaM Championdevelop plans build relationships with diverse suppliers and advance equity in public procurement.

Minimum Qualifications

What You Bring

Must Have

  • Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification

  • Extensive public procurement experience including leadership of large-scale procurement operations or programs

  • Deep knowledge of Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual (APSPM)

  • Proven track record managing large-scale procurement operations

  • Exceptional leadership negotiation and communication skills

Additional Considerations

Wed Love to See

  • Other procurement certifications (VCM CPPO CPPB)

  • Significant experience in executive-level procurement leadership including multi-jurisdictional procurement initiatives

  • Track record implementing innovative procurement strategies

  • Experience with category management sustainable sourcing and emerging technologies
