The Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a special education teacher to work in a multi-age self-contained classroom at the Whitin Intermediate School (grades 4-7). The successful candidate will be a licensed dynamic and creative educator supporting both academic and functional skill development providing access to inclusive experiences for students and addressing the specific specialized instruction strategies and accommodations/modifications outlined in IEPs for students with disabilities. This position is assigned to a sub-separate classroom for students with successful candidate should submit a letter of interest resume and three current letters of reference. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree Required; Masters Degree preferred. Massachusetts licensure in moderate special needs or equivalent as outlined by Massachusetts DESE or qualifications to obtain such licensure while holding middle school licensure in another applicable subject area or : The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with students parents and the multidisciplinary team.
