Job Summary

About the role

Lifestyle support workers (LSWs) play a vital role in supporting our recipients to live their best life - empowering individuals to build confidence work towards their goals and improve their mental wellbeing.

You work one-on-onein the homes and communities of our recipients to support them to live as independently as possible.

You may work with recipients in their homes to carry out activities like clean and organise prepare healthy meals or maintain a yard and generally make positive choices.A key part of the role is supporting recipients to improve their confidence accessing the community and engaging in activities that will help them achieve their goals. You will also provide transport to and from activities. It could be anything from shopping going to the gym attending social events and appointments to name a few activities!

About you

To be successful you must:

  • possess clear and effective communication skills
  • demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
  • experience working in a team environment
  • exhibit an ability to problem solve
  • be able to follow policies and procedures at all times
  • be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals

Role requirements

  • a current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
  • a currently registered roadworthy and fully comprehensive vehicle
  • a current nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificate (or the ability to obtain)
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You
