Role Details
Based at Visy Board Gepps Cross this role is central to maintaining the quality and integrity of our corrugated fibre board products. Reporting to the Technical Manager the Laboratory Technician plays a key role in testing raw materials and finished goods supporting claims processes and ensuring compliance with safety environmental and quality standards. Youll work closely with production teams technical staff and suppliers to uphold Visys commitment to excellence.

What Youll Do

• Perform lab tests on raw ingredients and finished products.
• Identify and quarantine substandard materials and products.
• Maintain digital records of trials and test results.
• Support quality feedback and claims with clear documentation.
• Coordinate product / material trials and assist with national audits.
• Conduct random quality checks and gather non-conformance evidence.
• Ensure compliance with Visys OHS and environmental policies.

What You Will Bring

• Experience in laboratory testing or quality control (packaging or manufacturing preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across teams.
• Familiarity with lab registers trial tracking and quality systems.
• Commitment to safety environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
