Job Summary
Hospice Medical Records Clerk
Salary: $20-25/hr BOE
Schedule: Full time M-F 8:00AM-4:00PM
Location: Hilliard Ohio
Requirements of the Medical Records Clerk role:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in Medical Records/Medical Receptionist
Detail-oriented skilled in organization able to manage office files
Proficient in the use of Google Drive Google Sheets. EMR experience
Homecare/Homebase (HCHB) medical records experience preferred
About the Medical Records Clerk Assistant role:
Collaborate with the intake team to collect information and documents from patients/POA/ Healthcare providers
- Respond promptly to requests for patient medical records from healthcare providers insurance companies or other authorized parties.
Ensuring that the medical records are organized accurate and complete
Creating digital copies of paperwork and storing the records electronically
Safeguarding patient records and ensuring that everyone complies with the HIPAA standards
Accepts process data from facility providers
Processing the records for admitting and discharging patients
Assists with preparing paperwork for IDG meetings
Uploads discharge documents into the EMR platform including processing SOC documents using the Docusign platform
Process workflow by sending orders to the agency physician.
All other duties as assigned
