Job Summary

Job Title: Pediatric Dental Assistant

Location: Bradenton FL 34203
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join a friendly and patient-focused dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to creating a positive dental experience for young patients and their families. This position offers the opportunity to work in a modern clinical environment where teamwork quality care and patient comfort are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for pediatric dental procedures.
Educate children and parents about oral hygiene preventive care and post-treatment instructions.
Take and process dental radiographs as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records and assist with scheduling as needed.
Provide chairside assistance to dentists during treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Manage dental supply inventory and maintain operatory cleanliness and readiness.
Follow OSHA infection control and safety compliance protocols.
Provide reassurance and emotional support to pediatric patients before during and after treatment.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant.
Ability to effectively engage with children and families in a positive patient manner.
Competence in clinical duties such as X-rays room setup/teardown and instrument handling.

Education:
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program (required).

Certifications & Licensure

Required:
CPR Certification (current).
Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or Florida Board Approved).
X-Ray Certification.
Sealant Certification (North Miami).
Coronal Polishing Certification (Miami).

Preferred:
Nitrous Oxide Certification.
