The Occupational Safety Specialist position will support Metro Transit safety programs by protecting the safety health and welfare of Metro Transit employees and its impact on the environment. The Occupational Safety Specialist will recognize and apply principles of safety to Metro Transit employees to maintain a healthier and less hazardous work environment and provides technical support to maintain compliance with local state and federal laws standards and regulations and performs related duties as assigned.
This posting will establish a 180 day eligibility pool for current and future opening.The Occupational Safety Specialist will work closely and report to the Metro Transit Industrial Safety Manager. Major responsibilities include:
