Job Summary
Job Title: Travel RN Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Easley SC
Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts
Pay Rate: $2734 weekly gross
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical interventions in a progressive care or step-down setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from critical care to medical-surgical units.
Continuously monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status using telemetry and advanced assessment skills.
Administer medications manage IV drips and perform complex procedures per provider orders.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients and families about treatment plans recovery processes and post-discharge care.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience required.
Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR system required.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage acutely ill patients.
Excellent communication critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Certifications & Licensure:
Active South Carolina RN License or Multistate Compact License Required
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Required
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Required
