Assistant Vice President Finance Operations

Schedule: Days:Mon-Fri.Full time

Job Location Type:Hybrid. This role does require frequent travel to our behavioral health facilities and our corporate office. When not travelling for assignments you will be working remotely from home.

How youll contribute

An Assistant Vice President Finance Operations who excels in this role:

  • Responsible for driving strategic operational and financial operations initiatives for healthcare facilities

  • Provides oversight and leadership on financial controls month-end financial close and budget preparation process

  • Ensures accurate financial reporting including audit and financial compliance

  • Provides financial analysis to senior leadership and facility leadership in support of operational considerations

  • Supports succession planning by developing new and existing CFOs for their next leadership step

  • Creates an environment of accountability in achieving budgeted metrics and/or targets

  • Identifies opportunities for financial operations improvement and/or increased compliance with established financial controls

  • Supports System/Market/Facility CEO in the selection of CFOs as well as ongoing assessment of performance

  • Assumes a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing facility operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends financial reports and operating procedures

  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g. HIPAA)

  • Skilled in the application of policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and state regulatory environments as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

What were looking for

  • Education:Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance and/or Business is required; Masters degree is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience with three years experience working at the CFO level in an acute-care Facility or comparable healthcare Facility. Behavioral Health experience highly preferred

  • License: Valid Drivers License preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and license is preferred.

  • Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Over 50% travel including overnight travel.
