Devereuxs Children Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is currently seeking a Utilization Review Specialist to work at their acute psychiatric inpatient hospital for children located in Malvern PA.

Some of the daily responsibilitiesinclude:

• Serves as liaison between parents agencies and treatment team in planning and implementing continued stay requests and authorizations.
• Coordinates the utilization of resources and services acting as a resource for all regulatory and funding issues for inpatient level of care youth.
• Works closely with Clinical and Admissions teams regarding the MCO and insurance funding authorizations.
• Responsibilities include third-party liability (TPL) MCO continued stay reviews and packet submissions MCO authorizations 1:1 tracking funding verification appeals and denials processes.
• Assists Admissions when and where applicable.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8a-4p

***Does require 1 week of orientation. M-F 9am-5pm in West Chester***

DCBHC the only free standing childrens psychiatric hospital in Chester County Pennsylvania employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents ages 5-18 and their families in acute mental health crisis. Many of the individuals we serve are from southeast Pennsylvania but DCBHC has served children and adolescents from other regions of Pennsylvania as well as neighboring states.

Devereux Pennsylvania Childrens Services (DPACS) center serves children adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders intellectual and developmental disabilities behavioral emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF)acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP) assessment services community-based mental health services community-based employment training and social skills training and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities autism spectrum disorders concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Social Work Human Services or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE: One year experience in Social Service or Health Care Service preferred.

Proficient computer skills mastery of Microsoft Office Applications experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar Pro-Filer and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently prioritize manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to established guidelines. Valid drivers license must be maintained.
