- Contributing to creating a welcoming organized clean and fun space for children and families.
- Handling ticket sales and cash procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring kids have fun (like a lifeguard) as they play at the Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond childrens museum.
- Assisting with planning and presenting activities for families.
- Light porter duties (such as cleaning surfaces.)

ARE YOU QUALIFIED
Education and/or Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelors degree in Library Science six units of college-level technical library courses one year of library experience or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities.
Examples of Acceptable Substitutions:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree six units of college level technical library courses plus one(1) yearof library experiencethat provides the desired knowledge and abilities.
Substitution:A total of five(5) yearsof library experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of library work; the use of library indexes catalogs and simple reference sources. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public especially children.
Special Requirements:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing and sitting. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to twenty-five pounds such as files stacks of paper references and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; some reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength dexterity coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal occasionally.
WORKING CONDITIONS
