Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons instructing students with a wide range of abilities assessing student learning collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment communicating with students parent and multiple stakeholders maintaining accurate records supervising students participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Start date: approximately November 24 2025
FTE: 1.0
Contract: November 24 2025-January 5 2026 (approximate dates)(plus potential to start a day early for training)
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by theState of Minnesota specific content knowledge training or job experience required before appointment and successful student teaching. Physical Education and Health licensureprefered.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate withappropriate Certification from PELSB: $249.55/day for specific area licensure in area of assignment. $175/day with short-call substitute license only.
Benefits: Available but without district contribution for fully certified teacher if contract days are less than 30. No benefits available with short-call substitute license.Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST)will be provided as required by law for either license type.
